It was fairly fun. It definitely seems built to do it while still having time left before beating the game though. The final prize is useless to someone who has completed it. I can't really say it justifies the price in your circumstances unless you really adore the game.

This was my fear. That having a dirt bike and a cool sword won't really matter if I never play the game again.

  1. I don't want to play Master Mode
  2. I've already done most everything you can do in the game(I'm not literally 100%. I've missed a few quests and a lot of Korok seeds, but I've wandered around and done pretty much everything I could find.

Bearing that in mind, is the extra content in the DLC worth going in for, if I'm not going to start a new game?

astral chain

Astral Chain has a pretty neat combat system. You really feel like you're learning a fighting style with the controls, and it was very rewarding to feel myself improving. Other than the engaging combat though, the game can be kinda meh. The story just slogs on uninterestingly. The game also has a bad camera and the visuals are like an optical migraine sometimes.

Most people will probably find enjoyment in this game, but it is not a must play.

I don't get what their thought process is. In the 90s, everyone was like 8-11ish years old playing these games and the rival showing up to backstab you was part of the charm of the game.

Now there's literally a free heal like EVERYWHERE. I got to a cave, there's a chick outside who heals my Pokemon. At the exit of the cave? Chick to heal my pokemon. And the cave was only like 4 trainer fights. On almost every route, there's someone to heal your Pokemon.

- A main pokemon of this game is literally a fat electric dog with a yellow heart on its ass

- At first I was like, 'wtf i'm not using a fucking donkey pokemon' then I was like "wow check out this donkey pokemon's stats...and he's one of my main guys now'

- I was on the verge of changing Rook out of my party because he sucked...then he evolved...then I got to the first gym(which he soloed the entirety of). I still might change him out with someone else, but damn it, I'm invested in him now.

also:

rival battles 20 years ago be like *gary shows up to fight you after you just fought 50 people, with his team of 6 tough pokemon*
rival battles today be like, "Rival: Hi, we're going to fight, are you ready? I'll wait outside?" "Here let's heal your pokemon for you." "Ok are you ready? Select yes or no" Ok let's fight *team of 3 low level pokemon*

It's a long running series. Something like 20 main series games with a bunch of spin-offs.

It's not your average JRPG as the focus isn't on combat. You will spend the vast majority of your time in menus crafting items.

Do I need to know anything about the 20 other games? I'd never even heard of it before last week.

Not really, the most carry overs from game to game you'll see are some minor themes, similar items and enemies, and maybe some brief cameos.
Nothing that will effect your enjoyment or understanding of the game.

Okay cool. Thanks!

Reading the story, why the fuck wouldnt this be taken seriously, especially given whats been going on shooting wise?

Doesnt matter she used finger guns. She literally used it to point at kids she wouldnt mind killing, thats the issue at hand. Being charged with a felony is dumb but its clear something needed to be done about this.

Yal would be super fucking pissed if nothing was done about this and three weeks later she does bring a gun to school. I applaud the school at least not turning a blind eye to something like this, but it should be therapy, not a fucking felony.

I see what you mean. I think it would have been better if there was a plot that involved a longer span of time, like all movies usually have, but instead this felt almost like the finale part 2. I think this might clear the slate for a possible spin off that involves Jesse and a brand new cast of characters for another show. I feel like this is a midway point. I don't see much of a point in doing this unless they were going to continue with Jesse in another series. After all that happened in the movie, the only important thing that remains is that Jesse now lives in Alaska with a new identity. He is safe. That was the point of the movie, but we were led to believe that was basically the case after the end of the finale. So I believe this is an intermediary story.

Jesse and a new cast...doing what?
